A little insight to my bedroom and belongings

I share my bedroom with my human mum, some people find it a bit strange that we share our bed but once they know I'm litter trained and have a very close bond with my mum they seem to understand. I love sharing the bed with mum its always so warm and comfortable I like snuggling up under the duvet with my head resting on the pillow. My room is fully bunny proofed all wires are covered and any areas where I can't go in are penned off so I don't get stuck or hurt myself.

I got the nickname 'Princess Lola Rose' in 2010, mainly because I was a very fussy little bunny and I would clean myself every time someone strange touched me. Its a well known fact that every Princess must have their own castle, realistically my pocket money wouldn't stretch as far as buying a big castle of my own but for my 2nd birthday I got my very own wooden castle hand made by Mum & Grandad. 

In the past couple of years I started to get an obsession for teddy bears I do have favourite named Dogga (Brown dog at the front). He was originally my human mums childhood teddy bear he went everywhere with her and shes had him for well over 12 years. He has came on most of my vet visits and he always comes to keep me company when I have my teeth fixed or if I stay in at the vets overnight. I've had him for just over 2 years and I love him lots!

Present time! Who doesn't love presents? I have over the years gained quiet expensive tastes, luckily my mum gives me pocket money each month and I save it up until I have enough to buy the toys & teddies I want. I have so many toys and yet Santa and the birthday fairy continue to deliver more and more presents each year. Staying Up Late

Being a bunny its rather hard to judge what time your pet human will be awake, asleep or exploring the big wide world. I think I have eventually figured out how to solve this problem. Last night I stayed up way past 3am and had the time of my life, there was a binky party at 1am followed by a cuddle in bed at 2am and then a midnight/morning snack on vegetables. So my plan from now on is to stay awake really late, this can only be achieved if you sleep all day though, I mean you need to fit your beauty sleep in somewhere. I will be testing out my new theory again tonight to double check I am right..

Whispering and hidden shopping bags

'What you got there mum?'

So today was a pretty average day, I woke up at 5am and thought it would be a great time to start chewing on my human mums head, this never seems to go down too well I'm not sure why. After failed attempts of waking her up I then started chewing on the wallpaper this worked a treat and she was up in seconds.

 I was pretty pleased with myself until I heard 'See you soon Lola behave yourself' immediately I ran to the door but it was shut. After what felt like a life time she eventually arrived back home but something strange happened. Normally I am allowed to inspect the shopping and claim anything I can get my teeth on. Today the shopping bags were taken upstairs and I am sure I heard the word 'Christmas' I vaguely remember this being linked with the man dressed in red who gives you a huge pile of treats each year.

I will try and sneak upstairs tomorrow and enlist the cat to help me find these shopping bags. Well its been a confusing day for a little bunny so I am off to bed, catch you all tomorrow!

Introducing 4 of my siblings

Buttons

I'm going to start with my favourite and that is Buttons a female Syrian hamster we have had her for a year on the 23/9/2012, she came to use from a local rescue and has been a fantastic addition to our family. She has had 3 nasty womb infections, cystitis & been diagnosed with diabetes, recently she has been doing very well on her new diet and has gained a little weight.

Charlie & Delilah

Charlie is around 3 years old he is a lionhead x mini lop rabbit who has the most beautiful harlequin markings. I like him a lot but he is not husbun material in fact he is scared of his own shadow so I let him marry Delilah a 2 year old lionhead x mini lop rabbit, shes a bit scary and really doesn't like me but to be fair I have never exactly been nice towards her. Charlie and Delilah were also from our local rescue, Delilah only has one ear and my mum snapped her up, something about her being extra special. 

Blackie

Blackie came to us when mums friend passed away in March 2012, we hadn't planned for him to come and live with us but he was in desperate need for a loving home and we knew his last owner would have loved him to live here. He is totally bonkers and eats for England, I am very proud to type this but this huge fat cat is scared of little Lola Rose. I like it that way though, I am the boss around here and everyone should know it!

My First Post

Hi Everyone!

Firstly I will introduce myself, I am Lola-Rose a 3 year old Dwarf Lop bunny, well not so dwarf but we can talk about that later. I live indoors and have my own bedroom which I kindly let my human mother share with me. I've learnt sharing isn't so bad, I put up with her and get a big bed and warm duvet in exchange, not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

I have always been a house rabbit, I didn't have the best start in life but I ended up getting a really good home and lots of love and care. I have a couple of health issues, dental disease, arthritis, cataracts and a funny tummy but we have that all under control.

 I share my house with other animals, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and a very big cat. I like the hamsters the best especially my little sister Buttons we like to snuggle up together. I used to have a brother hamster named Frankie, before my cataracts started to interfere with my eyesight I was allowed to play on the floor with him and we loved one another.

I've had my 5 minutes of fame in the past, I've been on television 4 times, in a national newspaper, printed in magazines and been featured on lots of websites, I've retired from all of that now and just live life in the slow lane.
